How to Impress People and Make Friends: Have a Crazy-Good Short Rib Recipe
Sometime last week, AmyB and I went out for some drinks, as we are wont to do with some regularity. After a couple glasses of wine and some discussion of this blog she mentioned (I believe as a joke) that it would be fun if she threw a dinner party and I cooked. I immediately jumped on that idea, as what I love about throwing a dinner party is the cooking, but not necessarily that whole, “having to clean for people” thing.
So yay! We decided that we would make short ribs, because honestly, they’re pretty easy and require a long prep time which would give us lots of time to hang out, drink beer, and play with Amy’s cute kid.
Also, we went grocery shopping. If you have never been grocery shopping at fancy stores in Brooklyn with a Chihuahua and a one-year-old, I totally recommend it. I definitely felt like I deserved that beer when I was done.
